Push in the foot clutch pedal. Leave throttle at slow idle. Crank engine and while cranking push and RELEASE the ether button, If no-go quickly hit/release ether button a second time or whatever it takes while still cranking. Ether button can be hit multiple times without cranking to keep the engine running as needed.

I had a similar issue on my 6080. The cam lever that bolts to the side of the rear housing which pulls the shaft through was rusted stuck. Make sure this cam lever pivots on the pin freely. The pedal travel will just be absorbed by the spring if the cam is unable to move. WNYBill.
My XT woks much better than our 6060. I had the position control cable break on our 6080. Before that I wasn't happy with the way it operated. After I replaced the cable (from Bunker Hill) the 3pt works much better. Before it was a pain getting the 3pt bale spear to lift high enough to load the bale trailer.

The 6080 is a different tractor than the 8010. The 6080 is about half the weight. For some things that's a good thing, its a lot more nimble and has lower gears to make up for the smaller motor. But the 8010 is a lot more stable and has a massively heavier rear end. So it depends on what you're going to use the tractor for.

With the lever pulled back it puts a lot of pressure on the crankshaft bearing at the front of the engine. Over time it will cause issues. Your 6080 should have a bearing support at the front of the engine at the crank. Keep it greased, it is there to help prevent this issue. Otherwise, you shouldn't have any issues.
