I would take the front cover off. There aren't any dowels in that cover. I didn't have to use a speedy sleeve to stop the leak from grooves cut by the old seal on the crank. For some examples, If a shaft is 1" in diameter, it has a circumfrence of 3.14", there is 360 degrees in 3.14" so .008722" is one degree. Or say a shaft has a 2" diameter it would take .01744" to make one degree of offset. If my memory serves me the allis cam nose is 1.625" on these engines.
I've been using NKG plugs, they seem to last longer for me than AC or Autolite plugs will. A NKG B6 is a non-resistor BR6 equal to an AC 45 or R45. If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John . Used AC45 for 30 years. Never an issue. Hope that helps. I have used the Autolite 295's.

Then lightly clamp the lip around the tube in the middle in a bench vice and pull the air cleaner so they come apart. Then take the 3 rolls of mesh inside the air cleaner out and take the nail that keeps them rolled up out. Unroll the mesh and clean it out with whatever you like using, then dry them with an air hose.

WD45 should be much cheaper and more power than a D14 or 15. D series are all around more comfortable and easier to use than a WD45 IMO. D17 is my favorite tractor and would be my first choice over a WD45 or D14 & D15. Early D17s can be had for less than $2000 for a rough but running one and a nice one can be bought for $3500.
